That's a wrap on our 5th Annual Bocce for Bowen... And somehow, it just keeps getting better.

We kicked off the afternoon cheering on Team Canada to a huge FIFA World Cup win before DJ Rock 'N' Beau wasted no time turning the energy all the way up.

​

It was so special to see so many familiar faces who have made Bocce for Bowen part of their summer tradition over the past 5 years, while also welcoming so many first-timers into the fun. That's exactly what this event is all about.

​

The day was packed with laughter. From Elsa and Bluey dancing, reading stories, and handing out hugs, to the North Vancouver firefighters bringing the fire truck (and an impromptu water fight), to kids bouncing, families connecting, and friends catching up.

​

And then... there was the bocce.

​

It was all fun and games until someone started keeping score. Suddenly every toss mattered, every team had "a strategy," and bragging rights were officially on the line. Congratulations to this years winner Ballon d'Bowen (Scott Leigh, Devin Delany, Brian Delaney, Dan Dejong and Matt Dochniak.) This makes them back to back champs and in need of some humbling next year!

Every year, by the time Bocce for Bowen rolls around, we're exhausted and running on fumes. But every year, this incredible community shows up and breathes life back into us. We saw Bowen everywhere. In the quiet acts of generosity, the big belly laughs, the helping hands, the joyful chaos, and the love that filled every corner of the day. We think Bowen would've absolutely loved it. We loved imagining him there.
